Media Resources for Advocates

Media coverage of the complexes and multifaceted issue of domestic violence ranges from helpful to harmful. To successfully educate the public about domestic violence, encourage them to take action to prevent or reduce domestic violence, or ask them to support our efforts, we must work with the media both in response to specific cases and as a proactive measure.

Resources for the Media

National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) is a comprehensive source of information for those wanting to educate themselves and help others on the many issues related to domestic violence. This is done through a series of key initiatives and special projects that are evidence-based and seek to inform providers, advocates and communities on the causes and prevention of gender-based violence.
