Join Community Works in a walk in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month from the Jackson County Courthouse to Lithia Commons Pear Blossom Park in Medford.

2014 Take Back the Night Silent March and Rally

Join us to honor the memories of loved ones lost to domestic violence and to raise awareness of efforts to end violence and assist victims and survivors on St. Croix. Wear purple or a t-shirt with artwork dedicated to your loved one. We will walk the streets of Frederiksted in silence to rally together at the waterfront. This annual report is sponsored by the Syracuse Area Domestic & Sexual Violence Coalition. Come hear a list of accomplishments, legislative updates, community partnerships, priorities for the upcoming year and stories by survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Domestic Violence Awareness Forum

<p>The Progressive Oklahoma Baptist State Convention (POBSC) is observing Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a Speak Up! Speak Out! Stand Strong! forum on Saturday, October 27th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church. There is no cost to attend this event. The POBSC Young Adult Women Unit will provide an open forum for questions, answers, and discussion of issues relating to domestic violence. The panel will feature a representative from the YWCA, a survivor, and a self-defense instructor.

Shine a Light

A Candlelight Vigil will be held in honor of victims and survivors of domestic violence. Clothesline, silent witnesses, and more will be on location to represent the tragic affects domestic violence has on it's victims. In lieu of candles, we will be releasing floating lanterns into the night sky at the end of our vigil to represent the lives lost to domestic violence.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month Candlelight Vigil

The 18th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Candlelight Vigil will be held October 9, 2012 at the Brazos County Administration Building, 200 South Texas Avenue, in Downtown Bryan. The event will include a keynote address; reading of the National Domestic Violence Awareness Month Proclamation; presentation of the Bob Wiatt Award and Voices Against Violence Award; and lighting of the candles in memory of those killed as a result of domestic or dating violence.
