Seminole County Domestic Violence Vigil

The Sanford Police Department is proud to host the third annual Domestic Violence Awareness Candlelight Vigil. Each year, we partner with the Safehouse of Seminole Domestic Violence Shelter and Seminole County Sheriff's Office to bring people together to remember those who lost their lives, those who fought to save their lives and honor anyone who is affected by domestic violence. The past two years have been a success, and we had wonderful speakers who bravely shared about their losses or their escape from the abuse. All candles are provided, and there will be one guest speaking on their experience with domestic violence, while others will share some statistics. We will have live music and provide resources at the event.
