Together We Can

Join Sitkans Against Family Violence for an evening of discussion, art, and engagement.
"Together, we can create a healthier, more respectful future for Sitka! Every member of the Sitka community knows someone who has been affected by violence in some way: bullying, domestic violence, or dating abuse. This is an issue that impacts all of us, but it is also an issue that all of us can do something about. At our Together We Can event, we'll spend some time thinking about the I Can'ts that keep us from speaking up, find ways to move past those I Can'ts to I Cans, and create art as a commitment to ourselves of what we can do to end violence in our community. These commitments range from small to big, from a survivor pledging to herself to prioritize self care, to a parent promising to talk to their kids about these issues, to a community member agreeing to stand up when they see violence. Our community art will join in the national gallery of I Can commitments as part of the I Can We Can program ("
