Domestic Violence Awareness Forum

<p>The Progressive Oklahoma Baptist State Convention (POBSC) is observing Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a Speak Up! Speak Out! Stand Strong! forum on Saturday, October 27th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church. There is no cost to attend this event. The POBSC Young Adult Women Unit will provide an open forum for questions, answers, and discussion of issues relating to domestic violence. The panel will feature a representative from the YWCA, a survivor, and a self-defense instructor. The objective of this event is to educate individuals on how to prevent and eliminate violence, provide information on victim services and resources, and teach friends and family how to be supportive to victims.&nbsp;</p>
